In 1905, Charles Beckman built a small factory with 14 colleagues and established the Red Wing Shoe Company. Within four years, a new four-story factory was required to meet demand for these high quality shoes and boots. During the next 50 years, Red Wing Shoe Company developed a reputation for making tough, comfortable boots and shoes for hard working people at war, on the farm, in oil fields, and in factories.
As working environments changed so did Red Wing Shoes. Styles began to evolve and soon denim jeans became more than just work clothes. They became fashion. Made in America and sold in more than 100 countries, Red Wing Shoes Lifestyle collections have become tremendously popular across the globe because of their unique American style and superior quality.
Red Wing work boots are crafted with skill by people who take the time to make sure each pair lasts and protects - like the fine tools they are. Every product we make is manufactured under stringent Red Wing quality standards to withstand the toughest work environments.
