WILKES CITY OF WILKES-BARRE 40 EAST MARKET STREET PENNSYLVANIA WILKES-BARRE, PA 18711 1871 PEN AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MAYOR GEORGE C. BROWN As other parts of America begin to reopen, I must remind residents that mitigation efforts are still necessary and must continue. This is not the time to begin normal activities and erase all the strides we have made. We all want to get back tonormal, however carelessly resuming our previous way of ife, may sparka resurgence in COVID-19 cases and deaths. We want to move forward, and we need everyone's cooperation as we continue to contain the virus When in public we must continue to maintain vigilant social distancing and wear a face mask, which adheres to CDC and Pernsylvania Department of Health guidelines. This is the time to stay healthy, stay safe and stay hopeful so we could move forward when the time is right The photo l am sharing shows the Personal Protection Equipment wom by Emergency Medical Personnel and patients during a potential COVID 19 patient intake. COVID-19is a very serious iliness and must be prevented On behalf of the Wikes Barre Fire Department, l ask that possible, patients should step outside their home and wait for our EMTS and Paramedics to approach, to reduce potential exposure to the COVID-19 Virus. We are forever indebeed to the countless doctors, nurses, physician assistants, respicatory therapises, first eesponders, and all health care professionals who are helping us get through the pandemic, Let's show how much we care about them, by wearing a mask when you leave your house and practicing social distancing when in public. I wish all Wilkes-Bare mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and aunts a happy and healthy Mother's Day. STAY HOME. STAY SAFE. STAY WELL. MANTENERSE A SALVO. MANTENERSE BIEN.
