Dr. James W. Galasso, III D.O. Welcomes Dr. Susan M. Baroody, D.O. FACP Dr. Baroody is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician serving the patients of NEPA since 2010. She was born and raised in the city of Wilkes-Barre, and a graduate of the Hanover Area Jr/Sr High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in both Biology and Neuroscience at King's College, in Wilkes Barre, and upon matriculation, went on to earn her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She later returned to the area and completed her residency in Internal Medicine through the Scranton, Temple Residency Program, in Scranton. Dr. Baroody is a member of numerous local, state, and national medical societies, including the Northeast Counties Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians (ACP), where she received the region's very first John Derrickson Early Career Physician Service Excellence award. She also holds a fellowship status within the ACP which signifies an ongoing dedication to the profession of internal medicine, the patients she cares for, and the communities she serves.
